Aspen Technology Names Hedwig Veith Whitney Senior Vice President, Human Resources
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2005-- Aspen Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AZPN), the leading provider of software solutions and services to the process industries, today announced that Hedwig Veith Whitney has joined the company's executive team as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Whitney will be responsible for designing and implementing worldwide organizational management practices to help AspenTech deliver on its strategic and financial objectives.
Whitney brings to AspenTech an extensive background in leading human resources initiatives in diverse and rapidly-changing organizations. Prior to joining AspenTech, Whitney was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at New England Business Service, Inc., a leading business-to-business enterprise with 4300 employees that serves over 3 million small business customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France. In this capacity, she developed and executed corporate human resources programs, led human resources integration through several acquisitions, and supported the company's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance programs.
Prior to her association with New England Business Service, Whitney served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Fidelity Investments in the division which is the largest provider of 401(k) retirement services in the United States. Before working with Fidelity, she held human resources leadership positions at Bank of Boston, BayBanks, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the University of Massachusetts.
